Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Small Engine Repair Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small engines and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our customers' outdoor power equipment, generators, and machinery running smoothly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to quality service and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Diagnose issues with small engines, including lawnmowers and other outdoor power equipment using schematics and technical manuals Perform repairs on small engines and mechanical systems utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and electrical diagnostics Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and engine tune-ups to ensure equipment longevity Troubleshoot electrical systems and wiring within equipment using electrical work techniques and schematics Repair and maintain power generation systems, including generators and heavy-duty equipment requiring mechanical knowledge and electrical expertise Assist customers by providing technical advice on equipment operation, maintenance needs, and troubleshooting tips to enhance customer service experience Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols involving manual handling and heavy lifting tasks Qualifications Proven experience in dealership or service technician roles with a strong background in automotive or small engine repair Familiarity with schematics, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems repair techniques Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, generator repair, welding, soldering, and equipment troubleshooting Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools for electrical work Knowledge of maintenance procedures as they relate to small engines or similar machinery Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Pay:
