Responsibilities Diagnose issues with small engines, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, generators, and other power equipment using schematics and technical manuals Perform repairs on small engines and related mechanical systems, including engine overhaul, electrical diagnostics, and component replacement Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups to ensure equipment runs smoothly Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques safely and effectively during repair procedures Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults accurately Test repaired equipment for proper operation and safety compliance before returning it to customers Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inventory logs for all repairs performed Skills Proven dealership experience or service technician background in small engine repair or automotive repair Strong mechanical knowledge of engines, electrical systems, and heavy machinery such as Caterpillar or similar brands Skilled in reading schematics, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other shop hardware Experience with diesel engine repair and generator maintenance is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining manual handling best practices Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair standards Join us to be part of a team that values technical expertise, hands-on problem solving, and delivering top-quality service.
