About the role Falcon Standard repairs and returns to service the heavy-duty rolling delivery carts used in a major e-commerce delivery network. You'll work in our Kings Mountain, NC shop inspecting damaged carts, repairing or replacing components using illustrated step-by-step procedures, and getting carts safely back on the road. No prior cart experience is required — we run a structured certification program: you train on one skill at a time on live carts, demonstrate it, get signed off, and take on more advanced work as you certify. What you'll do Inspect incoming carts: complete the visual check, caster function check, and fold-out/re-nest check; match damage to the repair catalog and route each cart correctly (repair, red-tag, or set aside as unrepairable). Replace casters and wheels — directional-lock and total-lock/brake casters — with correct left/right orientation, hardware stacking, and post-repair function checks. Replace plastic panels, hooks, label holders, decks, latches, hinges, and doors using the specified hand tools and parts. Print and apply cart ID labels exactly per procedure, and protect matched components — decks and electronic beacons are never swapped between carts. Check your tool bag in and out daily, verify its inventory, and inspect your PPE and tools before use.

Follow stop-and-escalate rules:

when a cart shows damage outside your certified skills or the procedure doesn't cover the condition, stop and flag it — that's doing it right, not slowing down. Keep certification records current and work only within the skill modules you hold; recertify on schedule. As certified, help stage and load repaired carts onto trailers using the specified nesting, row, and strap configuration. What you'll need Confident hand-tool skills: wrenches and sockets, Allen keys, Torx bits, impact driver. Ability to read and follow illustrated procedures, checklists, and part numbers exactly — precision matters more here than speed.

Sharp attention to detail:

correct part on the correct side, correct hardware order, correct label on the correct cart.

Physical capability:

stand and move a full shift; push/pull heavy rolling carts; lift up to 50 lbs; bend, kneel, and work at floor level on casters and wheels. Reliability and a safety-first mindset; willingness to complete paid training and skill certifications. High school diploma or GED preferred. Nice to have (not required) Experience repairing bikes, fitness equipment, appliances, material-handling equipment, or similar mechanical assemblies. Warehouse, manufacturing, automotive service, or military maintenance background. MIG/flux-core welding experience — this is a path to higher-level certified work and pay. Yard Dog certification or experience moving trailers, loading trailers and securing loads.
