We hire at three levels Where you start depends on what you can do on your own, not on how long you've been in the trade. Apprentice — $53,000 to $67,000 You have mechanical background and you want to learn inboards from people who know them. We train you and pay for your certifications. Journeyman — $74,000 to $99,000 You work independently, diagnose accurately, and turn a repower without hand-holding. Inboard experience required.

Lead / Master

— $101,000 to $142,000 You run the shop floor, take the jobs nobody else can solve, and mentor the techs around you. We hold you to a higher standard. Pay is base hourly plus a bonus on every hour you bill, plus a permanent raise for every certification you hold. No cap. We'll walk you through the numbers before you accept. What you'll do Maintain and repair marine vessels — engines, electrical, audio, ballast systems and hulls Diagnose and troubleshoot using schematics and precision measuring instruments Inspect used and consignment vessels to identify problems before the customer finds them Install and rig new equipment and components Water test vessels Work with customers and teammates to understand what they need and deliver it Keep accurate records on every repair Follow safety protocols and keep a clean work area Lead techs also mentor other technicians, handle escalated diagnostics, and sign off on quality control.
