Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Small Engine Technician and become a vital part of our service department! In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines and equipment, ensuring optimal performance for a wide range of outdoor power tools, lawnmowers, generators, and other machinery. Your expertise will help customers get back to work quickly and confidently, delivering top-notch service with a positive attitude. Duties Perform detailed diagnostics on small engines, including troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals Repair and overhaul various equipment such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, generators, and power tools, ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards Conduct routine maintenance on small engines and equipment to extend lifespan and improve performance Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and specialized diagnostic tools to complete repairs efficiently Identify electrical issues through diagnostics like electrical testing and troubleshooting electrical systems within equipment Follow safety protocols during manual handling and heavy lifting tasks to prevent injuries while maintaining equipment integrity Document all repairs accurately in service records and communicate clearly with customers about repair status and maintenance needs Experience Previous dealership experience or service technician background is highly preferred to ensure familiarity with industry standards and customer service excellence Proven experience repairing small engines, power generation systems, or similar mechanical equipment Strong knowledge of schematics, electrical diagnostics, engine repair, and mechanical systems repair Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, automotive repair principles, and electrical work is advantageous Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and conducting equipment troubleshooting effectively Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately for precise repairs Demonstrated physical ability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and working in various environmental conditions Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional service!
