Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Marine Boat Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of marine vessels and boat systems. Your expertise will ensure that boats operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, providing exceptional service to our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to the safety and performance of marine craft. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical wiring, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, and precision measuring instruments to execute precise repairs and fabrication tasks. Conduct electrical troubleshooting using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools to identify faults in wiring, sensors, and electronic systems. Assemble and disassemble boat components including sheet metal parts, rigging systems, and structural elements with accuracy and attention to detail. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction with the work performed. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic specializing in marine vessels or similar heavy machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in engine repair, electrical systems, welding, fabrication, and sheet metal work. Familiarity with schematics interpretation for electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical assemblies. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, calipers, ohmmeters, welding apparatuses, and precision measuring instruments. Background in vehicle maintenance or heavy machinery repair is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
