Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in diagnosing and repairing I/O engines, outboard motors, and electrical systems. This role requires hands-on expertise in marine engine maintenance and repair, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our customers. Factory training is preferred to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and safety. Duties Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on I/O engines, outboard motors, and electrical systems. Winterize boats and perform shrink wrapping to prepare vessels for off-season storage. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues accurately and efficiently. Conduct engine tune-ups, part replacements, and system inspections to ensure optimal performance. Follow safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines during all repair procedures. Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings effectively with customers. Stay updated on the latest marine technology and repair techniques through factory training or ongoing education. Qualifications Proven experience working with I/O engines, outboard motors, and electrical repairs in a marine environment. Proficiency in winterizing boats and performing shrink wrapping is essential. Factory training or certification in marine engine repair is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to customers. Valid relevant certifications or licenses related to marine mechanics are advantageous.
