Experienced Marine TechnicianRipTide Marine•Authorized Yamaha Outboard Dealership Patchogue, NY | Full-Time RipTide Marine is a growing authorized Yamaha Outboard dealership serving Long Island with professional outboard service, repowers, marine electronics, custom rigging, and premium boat care. We are committed to delivering dealership-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service. We're looking for an Experienced Marine Technician to join our team. If you're dependable, take pride in your work, and want to continue building your career with a growing dealership, we'd like to meet you. Responsibilities Diagnose, service, and repair Yamaha, Mercury, and other major outboard engines Perform routine maintenance including annual services, water pumps, timing belts, and engine diagnostics Complete outboard repowers, rigging, and commissioning Install and troubleshoot hydraulic steering, controls, fuel systems, and marine electrical systems Install marine electronics including GPS/chartplotters, sonar, radar, VHF radios, stereos, and

NMEA 2000
networks Perform quality inspections and sea trials to ensure every boat leaves operating properly Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers regarding repairs and recommendations Minimum Qualifications Minimum 1 year of professional marine technician experience required Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair marine systems Experience working on outboard-powered boats Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Professional personal tool set Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Preferred Qualifications Yamaha Certifications are highly preferred Mercury Certifications are a plus Experience with Yamaha Diagnostic Software (YDIS) Experience withNMEA 2000
