Pay:
Starting at $17.00/hour , with higher starting pay available based on experience. Job Summary Morris Marine LLC is seeking a dependable and motivated Service Technician to join our team. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of boats and marine engines. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is eager to learn and grow with our company. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of boats and marine engines. Perform routine maintenance, including but not limited to oil changes and tune-ups. Inspect vessels and engines to identify needed repairs or preventative maintenance. Install and replace marine parts and accessories as needed. Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, cooling, and steering systems. Test watercraft and equipment to ensure repairs have been completed correctly. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow all shop safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines. Occasionally communicate with customers regarding completed repairs or service recommendations when needed. Qualifications Previous marine/power sports, or small engine repair experience is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Valid driver's license is required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions. Reliable attendance, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Whether you've completed or recently begun a manufacturer-sponsored marine training program (such as Mercury, Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda, or a comparable program), we encourage you to apply. Applicants must provide proof of enrollment, completed coursework, or certification. Benefits Starting pay of $17.00/hour , with compensation based on experience.
