As our fleet and equipment continue to expand, we are looking for a dependable W-2 Small Engine Repair Technician to maintain and repair the equipment that keeps our projects moving. If you're mechanically skilled, organized, and enjoy solving problems, we'd like to meet you. Job Overview The Small Engine Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of gasoline- and diesel-powered small equipment used in commercial construction. This position plays a key role in minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and job-site ready. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair small engines and construction equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on generators, plate compactors, concrete saws, power trowels, pressure washers, pumps, air compressors, and other equipment. Troubleshoot fuel, ignition, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Replace worn or damaged components and perform routine tune-ups. Maintain accurate service records and preventative maintenance schedules. Inspect equipment before and after job-site use. Coordinate parts ordering and inventory management. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment. Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment when needed. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Qualifications 2+ years of experience repairing small engines or construction equipment preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose equipment issues. Experience with Honda, Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, Wacker Neuson, Husqvarna, Multiquip, or similar equipment is a plus. Ability to read service manuals and use diagnostic tools. Welding or fabrication experience is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors.
