About the Role PPI is currently recruiting a Mechanical Engineer - Vessel Design and Piping to join our engineering and fabrication team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is responsible for the mechanical design and engineering of pressure vessels, piping systems, and packaged process equipment in accordance with applicable codes, standards, customer specifications, and project requirements. Reporting to the General Manager, the Mechanical Engineer - Vessel Design and Piping will be responsible for delivering complete mechanical engineering designs, calculations, specifications, and drawings in accordance with applicable codes and standards. The position will also be responsible for supporting the successful execution of product development and customer projects within established schedules and budgets. Job Responsibilities

• Design pressure vessels in accordance with ASME Section VIII, Division 1.
• Develop piping material specifications in accordance with applicable international codes and standards, including ASME and ANSI standards.
• Select and specify piping materials, valves, fittings, and special piping items for specific applications.
• Prepare engineering specifications and procedures covering testing, welding, painting, insulation, material identification, tagging, and related requirements.
• Develop equipment packaging, piping layouts, and module arrangements.
• Perform or support mechanical design calculations related to piping, pressure vessels, nozzles, and associated equipment.
• Provide technical recommendations for the selection of piping materials, valves, special piping items, and suppliers.
• Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, specifications, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with fabrication, procurement, vendors, and project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Support projects to ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
• 8-10 years of experience in the engineering and design of process equipment, pressure vessels, and piping systems.
• Demonstrated experience working with ASME and ANSI codes and standards.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Division 1 pressure vessel design.
• Proficiency in plant layout, equipment packaging, and 3D product-design CAD software such as Creo, or equivalent software.
• Good understanding of piping stress analysis and nozzle loads, with the ability to identify and resolve related design issues.
• Strong technical problem-solving and engineering judgment.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred but not required. What We Offer

Pay:

$65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
