Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Small Engine Mechanic to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Your expertise will help customers get their outdoor power equipment, lawnmowers, chainsaws, and other small engines back in top shape quickly and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of machinery, apply your mechanical skills, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on small engines and equipment using schematics and technical manuals Repair and overhaul small engines, including carburetor adjustments, ignition systems, fuel systems, and electrical components Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups to extend equipment lifespan Troubleshoot electrical issues using electrical diagnostics tools and techniques Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair kits to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery accurately Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation before returning it to customers or preparing for sale Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostics conducted Skills Proven dealership experience or service technician background with small engine repair expertise Strong mechanical knowledge of small engines, power generation systems, and mechanical systems repair Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues Electrical experience including electrical diagnostics and electrical work on small engines or machinery Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment maintenance techniques effectively Experience with diesel engine repair is a plus but not mandatory Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Physical ability for heavy lifting and manual handling of equipment safely Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices applicable to outdoor power equipment or similar machinery Join our team as a Small Engine Mechanic if you're passionate about mechanical systems, eager to solve challenging problems, and committed to delivering top-tier service.
