The primary focus of this role is the expert diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of commercial pressure washers, gas engines, and small power equipment . Additionally, the technician will handle secondary shop duties including trailer maintenance, brake repairs, and electrical rewiring . The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver who understands the fast-paced demands of the West Texas service industry and ensures all equipment leaves our shop safe, reliable, and ready for the field.

Key Responsibilities Primary Focus:

Pressure Washer & Small Engine Repair Diagnose and overhaul commercial pressure washers , including troubleshooting high-pressure pumps, unloader valves, thermal relief valves, and heating coils. Perform full engine mechanical repairs on 2-stroke and 4-stroke gas engines (carburetor cleans/rebuilds, fuel system flushes, ignition troubleshooting, and valve adjustments). Conduct routine preventative maintenance on a variety of small equipment, including industrial generators, trash pumps, and air compressors.

Secondary Focus:

Trailer Maintenance & Electrical Systems Troubleshoot and repair trailer brakes , including the replacement of electric or hydraulic brake assemblies, backing plates, and drums. Rewire trailer lighting systems , including diagnostic tracking of shorts, replacing plugs, and installing new wiring harnesses or LED markers. Service trailer running gear , including packing wheel bearings, replacing worn hubs, and inspecting suspension components for road safety.

Requirements & Qualifications Experience:

1-3 years of experience specializing in small engine repair and high-pressure fluid pump systems.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of gas engine mechanics, basic 12V electrical systems, and trailer brake setups.

Equipment Knowledge:

Deep familiarity with brands like Honda, Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, Cat Pumps, General Pump, or similar industry standards.

Physical Capability:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on your feet, and operate efficiently in a West Texas shop environment.

Licensing:
