We are seeking an experienced Marine Mechanic / Marine Engine Technician for an established marine service operation serving the greater East Texas lake region. This is a hands-on position for a technician with professional experience diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining both inboard and outboard marine engines . The ideal candidate is mechanically strong, comfortable troubleshooting engine and electrical issues, and capable of completing repairs independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair inboard and outboard marine engines Identify mechanical, electrical, fuel, ignition, starting, charging, and cooling-system problems Perform marine engine diagnostics using diagnostic tools and equipment Complete routine and preventive maintenance, including: Tune-ups Oil changes Impeller replacement Lower-unit service Fluid and filter changes Read and interpret service manuals and wiring diagrams Test engines after repairs to verify proper operation Document completed repairs and service work Maintain a clean and safe work area Complete repairs independently and efficiently

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of professional marine engine repair experience Professional hands-on experience with BOTH inboard and outboard engines Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities Experience with marine mechanical and electrical systems Experience using marine diagnostic equipment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience with major marine engine brands preferred Must have own mechanic tools Valid Driver's License High School Diploma or GED Must be able to pass a background check Must have reliable transportation to the worksite

Pay:
