IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR A FULL-TIME MARINE SERVICE TECH.

Our family-owned and operated marina, boatyard and boat dealership in Deltaville, VA is growing and is offering a career opportunity for the right candidate(s). The ideal candidate will have a marine mechanic background. Advanced knowledge and experience working on outboards, sterndrives and diesel engines preferred. Experience with outboards, boat rigging, and electronics is a plus. ABYC certification preferred. Applicants will be primarily working on the following brands: Jeanneau Sailboats

• Yanmar Diesel Jeanneau Powerboats
• Gas Outboard Yamaha
• Commissioning, Troubleshooting and Maintenance Raymarine Systems Garmin Electronics Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Commissioning new sail & power boats Hanging Engines and testing systems Performing diagnostics and repairs of all types of marine engines and drives Installing gauges and electronics, running wires and cables Installing, repairing, troubleshooting and upgrading boat electrical systems Maintaining generators and A/C units Completing maintenance according to OEM standards De-winterize and winterize boats Ability to tow boats, launch and load boats Keep a clean work area Safely operate company and customer vessels during diagnostic water testing operations The right candidate: Should have marine engine repair experience Will have certifications, preferred but not required.

Will have the ability to meet deadlines and have good time management skills Personal tools are required, company has specialty tools and manufacturer specific tools Leaves the vessel better than when he/she found it Must take pride in quality workmanship; it's done right the first time Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
