Small Engine Technician

Duties Diagnose issues with small engines, including lawnmowers, generators, snow blowers, and other outdoor power equipment using schematics and technical manuals Perform repairs on various engine types, including gasoline and diesel engines, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications Assist customers by explaining repair processes or recommending maintenance solutions to enhance equipment longevity Proven dealership or service technician experience working with small engines or outdoor power equipment Strong mechanical knowledge of engine systems, including carburetors, ignition systems, fuel delivery components, and electrical circuits Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting electrical issues on various machinery Experience repairing diesel engines as well as automotive repair background is highly desirable Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting safely and effectively Knowledge of John Deere or similar is a plus but not required Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This role is perfect for mechanically inclined individuals eager to expand their expertise in small engine repair while delivering exceptional service.
