Responsibilities Precision Wheel Alignments:
Perform high-quality digital wheel alignments using state-of-the-art Hunter (or equivalent) equipment to ensure vehicle safety and tire longevity.
Suspension & Steering Diagnostics:
Conduct deep-dive inspections of steering and suspension components, including ball joints, tie rods, struts, and bushings, to identify wear or damage.
ADAS Calibration Awareness:
Identify vehicles equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and ensure steering angle sensors are properly reset following alignment procedures.
Documentation & Communication:
Provide clear, detailed explanations of alignment readings to Service Advisors to help them explain the "why" behind the repair to our guests. Technicians use their knowledge & skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our guests Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate concerns
Qualifications Qualifications:
Alignment Expertise:
Proven proficiency in operating computerized alignment machines and interpreting "before and after" printouts.
Specialized Knowledge:
Strong understanding of caster, camber, and toe specifications and how they affect vehicle handling and tire wear patterns.
Technical Savvy:
Experience working with scan tools to perform steering angle sensor (SAS) resets and other electronic calibrations related to the alignment process.
Efficiency:
Ability to maintain high productivity in a fast-paced environment while maintaining "right-first-time" quality standards. Positive attitude and a desire to serve guest 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles Meet or exceed hourly goals Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes Professional appearance and strong communication A desire for long-term career development Physical Requirements Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools Walk/stand for the majority of their workday Drive manual transmissions vehicles Efficiently navigate a computer Additional Information Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA) began in 1982 with the simple premise of providing precision auto repair with transparency, integrity and a philosophy of people first.
