Service Manager Job Summary:
The tire press operation is a set process which includes operating a forklift, lifting, and rolling tires, loading, and unloading the tire press, and removing and installing tires on the forklifts. This process may be repeated 15-20+ times per day, depending on business demands.
Job Responsibilities:
Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of all phases of the job Replace tires on forklifts as assigned Operate the tire press safely when in use Position body to safely remove, roll, and position tires on the press using the lift table Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies and outside purchases in repairs Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and forklifts Assist with loading and unloading of tires Participate in Madland Toyota-Lift's safety, training, and environmental sustainability programs, and maintaining licenses and certifications to avoid expirations. Represent Madland Toyota-lift as a professional by maintaining professional appearance, wearing uniform, keeping the work areas clean, and being courteous and informative with customers. Handle other duties and special projects as assigned Perform quality work; complete all details of the task assigned Provide relevant and timely information to management and co-workers Install only those parts described in repair order and return all warranty parts to Parts Department and dispose of used parts as directed Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures Ability to follow detailed instruction with minimal supervision Ability to respond to both internal and external staff in a prompt and courteous manner Ability to embrace change; ability to adapt to necessary changes and constantly strive to improve Return all special tools and equipment to their proper storage; maintain a clean tool storage area Review the internal Toyota learnings and other publications as assigned by management Effective time management; avoid wasting time; prioritize daily repairs and tasks Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to take necessary steps for advancement Accomplishes all current and future tasks as appropriately assigned or requested Any other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
High school graduate with college courses in business administration preferred Previous dispatch experience in a service industry (Helpful) Must have good customer service attitude Must be able to read, write and speak English (Spanish is helpful ) Must have clear speaking voice Familiar with order entry software (Helpful) Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Must be reliable, able to follow directions, report to work on time and get along well with co-workers and management personnel Appearance must be neat and professional
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift up to 50 pounds Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time Environmental exposure-seasonal outdoor temperatures Able to squat, kneel, bend & stretch repeatedly Working Conditions and Abilities (including but not limited to): Work around exhaust fumes, gas, diesel, solvents, paint, thinners, etc. (Occasionally) Work around noisy conditions in the shop•occasionally push/pull objects up to 50lbs (Occasionally) Perform simple motor skills such as standing, walking, climbing stairs, etc. (Constantly) Able to perform simple manipulative skills such as writing, collating, etc. (Constantly) Able to perform moderately difficult manipulative skills such as typing Able to perform gross body coordination such as walking, stooping, filing, sitting constantly Able to perform tasks which require hand eye coordination, such as telephone console Able to understand and relate to specific ideas generally several at a time Able to understand and relate to concepts behind specific ideas Able to remember task / assignments given at beginning of a period extending several days Able to remember multiple tasks / assignments given to self and others during course of a day Able to remember multiple tasks / assignments given to self and others over extended periods of time Able to communicate verbally, using standard high school level vocabulary Communicate in written work, using good written skills Hear normal sounds with some background noise (Constantly) See objects close and distant as in reading (Constantly) Read from a computer monitor (Constantly) The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
