Bentley's Automotive is looking for a Tire Technician to join our shop. We're a locally owned shop, and we stay busy. We're looking for somebody who isn't afraid of hard work, takes pride in what they do, and understands that sometimes you have to go the extra mile to get the job done. We can teach you the work. We can't teach you work ethic. You don't have to walk in knowing everything. If you're willing to listen, learn, follow directions, and do things the way you're shown, we'll work with you. What we don't want is somebody who has to be told the same thing over and over or decides to do it their own way every time. We have procedures for a reason. Once you're shown how we want something done, we expect you to be able to repeat it and produce the same quality of work every time. What You'll Be Doing Mount and balance passenger, light truck, and oversized tires Install low-profile tires and custom wheels Perform tire rotations Repair flat tires and punctures Install and service TPMS sensors Check tire pressure, tread wear, and tire condition Properly torque wheels every time Follow our procedures and check your work Pay attention to the vehicle you're working on and let us know if you see something that doesn't look right Help with other shop work when needed Take care of our equipment and customers' vehicles Keep your tools and work area clean and organized Help keep the entire shop clean What We Expect From You A strong work ethic Show up on time and ready to work Stay busy without somebody having to constantly tell you what to do Be willing to go the extra mile when needed Listen and follow directions Be willing to learn Follow the procedures you're taught Do consistent, repeatable work Double-check your work Take pride in doing things right Own your mistakes and learn from them Help your coworkers when they need a hand Put tools and equipment back where they belong Clean up after yourself Treat customers' vehicles with respect Have a valid driver's license Experience is great, but attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn matter just as much to us. Your Tools You are expected to have your own basic hand tools needed to do your job. We provide the larger and specialty shop equipment. Your tools are your responsibility. Keep them organized, take care of them, and take care of the shop's equipment like it was your own. This Is a Shop Job We're not going to sugarcoat it. This is physical work. You'll be on your feet most of the day. You'll be lifting and moving tires and wheels, bending, kneeling, getting dirty, and working around vehicles. Our shop isn't a climate-controlled office. Louisiana summers are hot, winters can be cold, and you'll be working in both. We understand that a tire shop gets dirty. That doesn't mean it has to stay dirty. Cleanliness and organization are part of the job. If you use something, put it back. If you make a mess, clean it up. If you see something that needs to be done, don't walk past it waiting for somebody else to handle it. The Kind of Person We're Looking For We're a small business. There aren't 100 employees here where somebody can disappear into the crowd. Everybody has to pull their weight. We want somebody who wants to learn, wants to get better, and can become someone the rest of the shop can depend on. You don't have to be the fastest person on day one. We'd rather you learn to do the job right first. Speed comes with experience. Show up. Work hard. Listen. Learn. Keep your area clean. Help the people around you. Take pride in your work. Do it right, and do it right every time. If that's how you work, we'd like to talk to you.
