Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Body Shop Alignment, Suspension, and Diagnostic Technician to join our dynamic automotive repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and aligning vehicle suspension systems, steering components, and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional service to our customers by restoring their vehicles to factory specifications using advanced diagnostic tools and repair techniques. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using advanced tools and schematics to identify mechanical issues related to suspension, alignment, steering, and other systems. Conduct precise wheel alignments to manufacturer specifications, ensuring optimal handling and tire longevity. Repair or replace suspension components such as shocks, struts, control arms, bushings, and ball joints with attention to detail. Diagnose and service vehicle electrical systems including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features that impact alignment and safety functions. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to complete repairs efficiently. Interpret technical schematics and repair manuals accurately to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems. Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and general vehicle inspections as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure quality standards are met while maintaining a safe work environment. Requirements Proven experience working in an automotive repair industry with a focus on suspension, alignment, or diagnostics; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive suspension systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and electrical systems including ADAS technology. Familiarity with schematics, automotive electrical systems, heavy equipment mechanics, diesel engine repair, and oil change procedures. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostic software effectively. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus but not required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Valid ASE certifications or equivalent certifications in automotive repair are desirable. Knowledge of automotive repair standards including tire service, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, wheel alignments, and mechanical systems repair.
