Full Job Description General Service & Tire Technician:
Overview:
Our company is looking for an experienced Tire and General Service Technician for our Waterloo Location Van's Auto Service & Tire Pros has been family owned and operated for over 30 years providing 5-star customer service.Responsibilities:
- Inspect tires on vehicles before and after installation
- Perform tire rotations, balancing, and other maintenance tasks
- Perform oil changes, checking fluid levels, replace worn parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
This job operates in an automotive shop environment. The job will expose the workers to a moderate noise level, adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust.- Must be able to lift, carry, and stock merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs. without assistance
- Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time
- Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting
Professional Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in general vehicle inspections, changing of tires, and completing oil changes
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an auto shop/mechanic setting strongly preferred
- Proven knowledge of vehicle maintenance operations
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with great attendance.
- All candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid driver's license with a clean MVR history.
