Role:
As a Tire Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring vehicle safety and performance by expertly installing, repairing, and maintaining tires on a wide range of vehicles. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and safety by providing reliable tire services that meet industry standards. You will be responsible for diagnosing tire-related issues, recommending appropriate solutions, and performing routine inspections to prevent future problems. This role requires a strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of vehicles and the overall success of the service center.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive tools and equipment. Ability to lift heavy tires and work in physically demanding conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. Must provide own tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a tire technician or in automotive service. Certification from a recognized tire industry organization (e.g., National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence - ASE). Knowledge of tire balancing and alignment technology. Experience working with a variety of tire brands and vehicle types. Good communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
Responsibilities:
Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation to ensure safety and performance. Mount, dismount, balance, and align tires using specialized equipment and tools. Perform tire repairs such as patching punctures and replacing damaged tires. Assist customers by providing expert advice on tire selection, maintenance, and care. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during all operations. Collaborate with team members to manage workflow and meet service deadlines.

The required skills such as mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential for accurately diagnosing tire issues and performing precise installations and repairs. Physical stamina and strength are used daily to handle heavy tires and operate machinery safely. Preferred skills like certification and experience with balancing and alignment technology enhance efficiency and service quality, allowing the technician to address complex tire problems confidently. Communication skills facilitate clear explanations to customers about tire conditions and maintenance recommendations, improving customer trust and satisfaction. Overall, these skills combine to ensure that the technician delivers high-quality, safe, and timely tire services.
