United Talent is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined SE Grade Technician for a Transportation company in Huntington WV! The SE Grade Technician will support the maintenance team by performing basic vehicle service, inspections, preventative maintenance assistance, fueling, tire service, shop upkeep, and other fleet-support duties.

Job Duties:

Assist with routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers. Perform basic vehicle inspections and safety checks. Check tire pressure, fluid levels, lights, and other basic vehicle components. Assist with tire changes, repairs, and tire-related maintenance. Fuel vehicles and follow proper fuel-handling and environmental procedures. Assist experienced technicians with maintenance and repair activities. Clean and prepare vehicles for service. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop. Use basic hand tools and shop equipment safely. Document completed work and inspections as required. Report vehicle defects, safety concerns, equipment issues, or other problems to supervisors. Follow all company safety policies, environmental procedures, and applicable regulations. Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay & Shift:

Monday - Friday 8Am - 4:30pm

Rate:

$18.00 per hour

Requirements:

Previous automotive, diesel, mechanical, tire, fleet, or maintenance experience is required. mechanical aptitude. Ability to safely use hand tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Valid driver's license preferred. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in various positions throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move tools, parts, tires, and equipment as required. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work safely around heavy-duty trucks, trailers, shop equipment, fuel, oils, and automotive fluids. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.
