Infrastructure Technician - Underground & Wireless Ranch WiFi | Paso Robles, CAFull-Time | Monday-Friday + On-Call as NeededPay Based on Experience Ranch WiFi is looking for a dependable, hands-on Infrastructure Technician to help build, maintain, and repair our fiber and fixed-wireless network infrastructure. This is a field-based position with a strong focus on underground construction and infrastructure work . Experience with underground utilities, construction equipment, telecommunications, tower climbing, or wireless systems is preferred. We are willing to train the right person. We're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working outdoors, willing to learn, and takes pride in doing quality work. Job Duties Perform underground construction including trenching, conduit placement, boring, vault and handhole installation Assist with construction and maintenance of underground fiber infrastructure Operate and work around underground construction equipment and tools Assist with locating, exposing, repairing, and maintaining underground infrastructure Pull and install fiber optic cable and conduit Assist with installation and maintenance of fixed-wireless network infrastructure Install radios, antennas, cabling, mounts, and related equipment Climb towers and communications structures when trained and qualified Work from bucket trucks, lifts, ladders, and elevated work platforms Assist with network outages and emergency infrastructure repairs Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and job sites Document completed work and materials used Follow direction from the Project Manager and senior field personnel Experience Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: Underground utility or telecommunications construction Trenching, conduit installation, and excavation Directional boring Operation of construction or underground equipment Fiber optic cable placement Tower or communications structure climbing Fixed-wireless/WISP infrastructure Wireless radio and antenna installation General construction or field service You do not need experience in all of these areas to apply. Experience with underground construction is particularly valuable, but we're willing to train candidates who demonstrate strong mechanical ability, good judgment, a willingness to learn, and a solid work ethic. Qualifications Previous construction, underground utility, telecommunications, wireless, or similar field experience preferred Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools Comfortable working outdoors and around construction equipment Ability to safely perform physically demanding work Comfortable working at heights or willing to learn, including tower climbing Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a field crew Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn new skills Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to participate in an on-call rotation as needed No specific industry certifications are required. Training will be provided as needed. Schedule & Location This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position based out of Paso Robles, California . This is a field position, and work locations will vary depending on project needs. Candidates must be comfortable traveling to different job sites. Some overtime, early morning, evening, weekend, or overnight work may occasionally be required depending on project needs or emergency response. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
