Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities The Draw Tower Operator supports standard tubing production by operating and monitoring draw tower equipment, maintaining product quality, completing required documentation, and following established safety and manufacturing procedures. This role works under supervision, seeks guidance when needed, and assists with basic equipment support, shift preparation, and continuous improvement efforts. Operate, monitor, clean, and fire polish standard tubing products with supervision. Use microscopes and basic calculations to verify product dimensions and support quality requirements. Change reels, prepare work areas, and ensure equipment and materials are ready for the next shift. Review schedule boards and gather shift information from previous operators. Identify process or equipment issues and notify the supervisor or Sr. Operator as needed. Complete data entry, production paperwork, training checklist requirements, and related documentation accurately. Follow safety procedures, quality standards, ISO, TQM, Six Sigma, and EH&S requirements. Perform basic support tasks such as changing gas cylinders, emptying trash barrels, cleaning coating bucket parts, and completing start-up/shut-down checklists. Assist coworkers and supervisors and perform other duties as assigned by management. Basic Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, military, or related field. Ability to work safely in a continuous manufacturing environment with chemicals, materials, and varied manufacturing processes. Ability to follow written procedures, communicate with coworkers and supervisors, and seek guidance when needed. Basic calculator skills for production measurements, including wall thickness and nominal diameter calculations. Microscope use and attention to detail for product verification. Accurate and legible paperwork completion and data entry. Manual dexterity for working with small parts. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work from lifts up to 40 feet above ground level. Flexibility to rotate shifts every six months or as needed. Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.
