Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking dedicated and safety-conscious Flaggers to manage traffic in work zones. The Flagger will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic around construction sites, directing vehicles and pedestrians while maintaining a secure work environment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Duties Direct traffic around construction sites using appropriate signage. Ensure the safety of workers and the public by managing vehicle and pedestrian movement effectively. Monitor construction activities to identify potential hazards and communicate them promptly. Collaborate with heavy equipment operators to coordinate safe operations in the vicinity of traffic. Maintain clear communication with team members regarding site conditions and traffic flow. Assist in setting up and dismantling traffic control devices as needed. Conduct regular inspections of the work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Skills Familiarity with utility and construction site operations is advantageous. Strong understanding of traffic control procedures and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills to effectively relay information to drivers and team members. Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing traffic flow in busy environments. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
