In this energetic role, you will be responsible for directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic around active work zones, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting the overall efficiency of highway maintenance, civil infrastructure, and utility projects. Your proactive approach will help protect workers, motorists, and the public while contributing to successful project completion. Duties Safely direct traffic around construction sites using standardized hand signals, signs, and flagging equipment Communicate clearly with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations Set up appropriate warning signs, cones, barriers, and flagging stations to delineate work zones effectively Monitor traffic flow continuously and adjust control measures as needed to accommodate changing site conditions Assist with site safety inspections and report any hazards or unsafe behaviors immediately Support heavy equipment operation teams by providing clear traffic guidance for machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks Requirements Proven experience working on construction projects in a civil infrastructure or highway maintenance role Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely for extended periods in outdoor environments Physical ability to stand for long durations, perform heavy lifting when necessary, and work in various weather conditions Construction site experience with a focus on safety standards and traffic management practices Join us in creating safer roads and supporting vital infrastructure projects!
