While 2 to 3 years of rail switching experience is preferred, we are open to training strong candidates who are dependable, safety-minded, and willing to learn. Some Excel experience and general computer skills are a plus. Schedule Week 1: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Week 2: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Though not often, some weekend work may also be required. Responsibilities Working as part of the ground crew to plan and control train movements Setting and releasing handbrakes Climbing railcar ladders Operating a locomotive Performing rail switching duties safely and efficiently Working outdoors in all weather conditions Using our computerized railcar management system to manage railcar movements and updates Experience We will train the right candidate, but preference will be given to applicants with previous rail switching experience and/or conductor or engineer experience.

Pay Base starting pay:

$22.75/hour Conductor certification: +$1.00/hour Engineer certification: +$1.00/hour Candidates who already hold current FRA Conductor and Engineer certifications may start at $24.75/hour, subject to verification of credentials.
