Overview This is a full time position. Monday- Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The position is in Rayville, Louisiana. Pay is $25 per hour. Must have a valid social security number and valid Lousiana ID. Join our dynamic team as a Traffic Control Flagger and play a vital role in ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow at construction sites and roadway projects. In this energetic position, you'll be the frontline communicator, guiding vehicles and pedestrians safely through work zones while adhering to strict safety protocols. Your proactive approach will help protect workers, drivers, and the public, making a tangible difference in civil infrastructure projects. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on diverse construction sites. Duties Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around construction zones using clear hand signals, signs, and flagging devices to maintain safety for all. Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barriers, signs, and flagging stations in accordance with project plans and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to coordinate safe passage through work zones. Monitor work areas continuously to identify potential hazards or unsafe behaviors, reporting issues promptly to site supervisors. Requirements Proven outdoor work experience in construction or traffic control environments with a focus on safety protocol adherence. Ability to stand for extended periods while performing manual handling of traffic control devices and signage. Strong understanding of road construction processes including highway maintenance and roadway projects. Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling required for setting up barriers or signage. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and ensure public safety at all times.
