Job Description

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Flagger to join our team. As a Flagger, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of construction workers, motorists, and pedestrians by controlling traffic flow around work zones and construction sites. You will communicate clearly and effectively to direct vehicles, prevent accidents, and maintain smooth traffic movement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct traffic around construction sites or roadwork areas to protect workers and the public.
  • Use hand signals, signs, or flags to communicate with drivers and ensure safe passage through work zones.
  • Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barriers.
  • Monitor traffic and respond quickly to changing conditions to minimize delays and hazards.
  • Communicate with other flaggers and construction crews to coordinate traffic control efforts.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or potential hazards to the supervisor.
  • Assist in keeping the worksite clean and organized.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness and follow all safety regulations and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Certification from a recognized flagging or traffic control course.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts.
  • Familiarity with traffic control regulations and safety procedures is a plus.
Work Environment:
  • Outdoor setting with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • May involve working near heavy machinery, noisy environments, and potentially hazardous conditions.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Adeptness in responding quickly to changing situations and directions.
Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary Pay:
