Job Summary The Truckyard Flagger is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of commercial trucks within a yard environment. This role involves directing traffic, managing vehicle flow, and maintaining safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities Direct and control the movement of commercial trucks within the yard to ensure safety and efficiency. Follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a secure working environment. Communicate clearly with truck drivers, yard staff, and other personnel to coordinate vehicle movements. Monitor traffic flow and adjust directions as needed to optimize yard operations. Assist in maintaining a safe environment by adhering to all safety regulations and procedures. Ensure that all vehicles comply with site rules and traffic regulations during yard operations. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly to supervisory staff for resolution. Experience Prior experience in traffic control, flagging, or related roles is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial vehicle movement is highly desirable. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining alertness and focus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members. Basic understanding of traffic safety principles and the importance of adherence to established procedures.
