Please refer to the link for more information: https://www.gov.nv.gov/executive-actions/executive-orders/2026-executive-orders/EO-2026-002/ The Nevada Department of Transportation is hiring for a Highway Construction Aid in Reno, Nevada and are used to maintain Nevada roads during the winter season. Crews include construction, maintenance, debris clean up, bridge, night sweeping, landscaping, lighting and striping. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. Incumbents assist in routine maintenance duties, including keeping pavement surface, shoulders, clear zones and associated roadways in good repair and assistance in emergency operations. The hours for these positions are subject to change depending on the needs of the appointing authority and maybe five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts. These positions may require working in inclement weather.THESE POSITIONS WILL BE UTILIZED FOR WINTER EMPLOYMENT. NOT TO EXCEED 6 MONTHS.
