A Transportation Maintenance Worker provides maintenance for highway systems and state and local roads, including repairs to pavement, bridges, signs and signals; assists with clearing roads.
MUST have a valid drivers license and own vehicle.
Job Details:
Control and direct the flow of traffic using hand signals, flags, and other approved methods in compliance with local traffic control regulations and company guidelines.
Safety Protocols:
Implement and enforce safety measures and protocols to protect construction workers, motorists, and pedestrians within work zones or areas under traffic control, in accordance with company policies.
Communication:
Effectively communicate with construction workers, equipment operators, and motorists to provide clear instructions and ensure safe traffic flow. High school diploma or equivalent. Reliable source of communication to receive daily work schedule. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and interact professionally with coworkers, customers, and pedestrians. Strong situational awareness and the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, adhering to company standards and safety protocols. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods, often in varying weather conditions while lifting 201bs. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and traffic control plans accurately while upholding safety protocols.
