Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Seasonal Commercial Flagger and play a vital role in ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow at construction sites. This energetic position requires a proactive approach to directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting construction crews. If you thrive in outdoor environments, enjoy working in a team, and are committed to safety excellence, this opportunity is perfect for you! This paid position offers valuable experience in construction site operations and heavy equipment awareness. This seasonal position is expected to run April through November. Hours can vary, 7 AM to 5 PM generally, not guaranteed. Duties Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic around active construction zones using paddles Ensure compliance with safety regulations and construction site protocols at all times Communicate effectively with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to prevent accidents or delays Maintain a clean and organized work area around traffic control points to promote safety and efficiency Demonstrate ability to show up timely for each job Skills Excellent communication skills for clear signaling and coordination with team members Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform outdoor duties in various weather conditions Prior construction or paving site experience is highly desirable Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including front loader trucks and graders will set you apart Requirements This is a drug free workplace - Drug testing will be mandatory Pass an Oregon State Flagger Certification Course Bring own comp toe boots Have driver's license Have own vehicle and ability to work La Pine to Madras, Prineville to Sisters and everything in-between Have ability to use smart phone maps and text effectively Some weekends mandatory, must have a flexible schedule Join us in creating safer work environments while gaining hands-on experience in the bustling world of construction!
