Job Description

RoadSafe Traffic Systems seeks a Traffic Control Driver/Laborer to support roadway and construction projects. Responsibilities include safely loading, delivering, setting up, and removing traffic control devices; driving company trucks; following traffic plans; and performing general labor tasks. You'll work outdoors in all weather, follow strict safety procedures, and communicate with supervisors and crews. RoadSafe provides safety-focused training, a team-oriented culture, and opportunities to grow while helping protect workers, motorists, and communities on critical infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Drive company vehicles to and from job sites to deliver and retrieve traffic control equipment Set up, maintain, and remove cones, signs, barricades, and other traffic control devices per traffic control plans Perform general labor tasks to support roadway, utility, and construction projects Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and Road Safe and client safety policies Communicate with supervisors, crews, and flaggers to ensure safe traffic flow around work zones Inspect and load/unload equipment safely, securing materials for transport Work outdoors in varying weather and traffic conditions for extended periods Complete basic documentation, such as daily logs, work orders, and equipment checklists Required Skills Traffic control setup and removal Safe vehicle operation (pickup/flatbed/traffic trucks) Flagging and work zone safety procedures Reading and following traffic control plans Use of cones, signs, and barricade systems Load securement and basic rigging Basic equipment inspection and maintenance PPE and safety protocol compliance Radio and on-site communication Time management and reliability
