Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Traffic Control Flagger, where your role is vital in ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow around active work zones. You will be responsible for directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic in accordance with safety protocols, helping to protect workers and the public during various construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on civil infrastructure projects, contributing to highway maintenance, road improvements, and utility installations. Your energetic presence and attention to detail will keep our work sites safe and efficient. Duties Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, signs, barriers, and flagging equipment to guide vehicles and pedestrians safely around construction zones Direct traffic flow using standardized hand signals or flagging tools, ensuring compliance with MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) regulations Communicate clearly with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to coordinate safe passage through work zones Monitor the work site continuously for safety hazards or non-compliance with safety protocols and report issues promptly Follow all safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents during outdoor work environments involving heavy equipment operation and manual handling Experience Prior experience working in road construction or civil infrastructure projects is preferred but not required Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, or similar machinery is a plus Familiarity with traffic control for work zones and adherence to MUTCD regulations is preferred but not required Demonstrated ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and manual handling safely in outdoor settings Construction site experience involving highway maintenance or utility installation enhances your suitability for this role Join us if you are passionate about outdoor work environments and committed to maintaining safety standards on busy highways and roads.
