We take pride in delivering accurate, professional work while maintaining a safe and productive job site.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Parking Lot Layout & Striping Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for laying out new parking lots from construction plans, re-striping existing parking lots, installing pavement markings, and ensuring every project meets customer specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing clean, accurate work.
Responsibilities:
Layout new parking lots using approved site plans and construction drawings. Measure and mark parking stalls, ADA parking, fire lanes, crosswalks, loading zones, and directional markings. Re-stripe existing parking lots according to customer requirements. Operate striping equipment safely and efficiently. Install pavement markings, stencils, wheel stops, and traffic control devices. Verify dimensions and layout accuracy before painting. Read blueprints and parking lot striping plans. Maintain striping equipment and perform routine cleaning and maintenance. Load and unload materials and equipment. Assist with traffic control and job site setup. Follow OSHA safety requirements and company safety policies. Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Communicate with superintendents and project managers regarding field conditions and project progress.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in parking lot layout and striping preferred. Ability to read construction drawings and striping plans. Experience operating airless striping machines is preferred. Strong measuring and layout skills. Knowledge of ADA parking requirements is preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift 75 pounds. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work overtime and occasional nights when required.
Preferred Experience:
New construction parking lot layout. Parking lot re-striping. ADA compliance. Thermoplastic pavement markings. Traffic control. Wheel stop installation. Sign installation. Sealcoat striping. Crack seal and pavement maintenance experience is a plus.
