The Part 145 FAA Repair Station Repairman provides service and repairs of mechanical, electronic, and other equipment requiring technical knowledge and expertise, effective diagnostic and repair techniques and procedures related to a wide variety of equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Perform skilled technician work and apply knowledge of the design and function that involves diagnosis, replacement, repair, and rebuilding of a variety of equipment, components and/or systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment and a variety of tools specific to the trade. Apply principles and practices of electrical and electronics theory.
• Proficient in understanding technical manuals such as blueprints, CMMs, customer POs, manufacturer's data, and repair instruction sheets.
• Follow

regulations to remain compliant to current supplements and all other specific guidelines, particularly as they relate to airworthy certifications (8130-3s).

• Assist with research and development of new repair capabilities. This will include reading and understanding new manuals and may include on and off-site training.
• Make computer entries and complete various types of paperwork maintenance documents such as Service Reports and 8130-3s in accordance with FAA Regulations and company policies.
• Create Bill of Materials for WOs using the MRP system to perform the repairs while managing inventory of various components in each site location.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge and Skills

• At least 18 months of practice experience in the procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools, machine tools, and equipment generally used in the maintenance duties of the specific job for which the person is to be employed and certificated.
• Experience performing the specific maintenance functions assigned.
• Familiar with inspection methods, techniques, practices, visual aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of the units being repaired.
• Can read and interpret wiring diagrams and component schematics to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
• Has the ability to accomplish basic soldering and wiring tasks (circuit board repair such as surface mount and through-hole soldering for our avionics section) and has a good understanding of corrosion control methods and remedies.
• Proficient with Office software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Part 65 Repairman Certification highly desired but not required upon hiring.

Preferred Qualifications:

• FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) certificate (if desired, though not required for a Part 145 repairman position)
• Experience with Electronic components maintained by the repair station. Education and/or Experience
• A combination of education, training, work, and/or other life experience which would provide reasonable assurance that the required knowledge and skills have been acquired by the applicant.

Example:

a two-year degree in a technical discipline and/or comparable work experience such as an FAA Airframe and Power plant Certificate and/or Military or Civil aircraft maintenance experience.

• Ability to apply basic mathematics to convert metric and/or standard rates of flow, torque, load, and distance measurements.

Pay:

$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
