Job Description

Overview Perform safe aerial fiber/cable installation, maintenance, and repair work from bucket trucks and pole climbing. Work with crew to complete overhead construction, splicing support, and emergency restorations. Key Responsibilities Operate bucket truck and aerial device to install, secure, and maintain overhead cable and hardware Climb poles as needed and perform line work from buckets following safety procedures Install anchors, messenger wire, strand, terminals, pedestals, and attachments Assist with fiber/copper splicing, terminations, testing, and basic troubleshooting Read work orders, construction drawings, and follow crew lead/foreman directions Perform pre- and post-job equipment inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles/tools Maintain jobsite housekeeping, inventory, and daily reports; respond to on-call emergencies Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred 2+ years overhead line or aerial cable experience preferred Experience operating bucket trucks and aerial devices; pole-climbing skills a plus Valid driver's license; CDL preferred where required Familiarity with basic fiber/copper termination and testing equipment helpful Strong safety focus; knowledge of
OSHA/NESC
preferred Physical Requirements & Conditions Able to work at heights, lift heavy equipment, and work outdoors in varied weather Willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends, and be on-call as needed Certifications (preferred) Bucket truck/aerial lift certification, CPR/First Aid, FOA CFOT or equivalent Equal Opportunity We are an equal opportunity employer.
