Starting wage from $21/hour and more with experience. All of our field technicians are provided with: Safety gear including company boot (allowance), vests, glasses, etc. Military-grade computer device The company issued truck with home garaging privileges Company fuel card (yes, we pay your gas!) Comprehensive Benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, 401K, Life insurance and short term Disability (FULL paid health insurance for singles!)
Responsibilities:
Line locators will work under the direction of their company supervisor, performing work that involves visual inspection of predefined construction areas and reading and interpretation of utility maps to determine the presence of underground utilities, while using special electronic equipment to locate and protect the utility from being damaged. Some of these utilities include gas, electric, water, cable, sewer and more.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings: Drug test, background check, and driving record Upon employment, subject to random drug testing in compliance with DOT guidelines
Working Conditions and Hours:
Outdoor work environment: up to 10-12 miles of walking on different terrains Driving company vehicle to and from work sites Schedule is M-F, 7:30am-4pm, weekends as needed
Knowledge and Abilities:
Successfully complete the company's training program and pass applicable written and field tests Develop a general knowledge of state and local damage prevention regulations Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters Olameter is one of the largest meter servicing companies in North America with over 1,500 employees providing services in 30 states and provinces to over 300 utilities.
