•Anderson Service Inc. Montana's leading overhead crane manufacturer is rapidly expanding and is seeking a skilled Overhead Crane Technician to join our team. Duties include fabrication, welding, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting , repair and inspection of overhead cranes. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, electrical work, mechanical aptitude and a can do attitude.
Job Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, and inspect overhead bridge cranes and hoists Perform on-site scheduled maintenance and inspections on equipment Evaluate functionality, identify solutions, and make recommendations regarding required repairs, methods, techniques, and/or equipment Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists accurately, timely, and neatly New crane wiring, assembly, installation & start-up Spend time consulting with customers on repair and safety related issues Observe all safety procedures and use personal protective gear Maintain a clean and safe work environment Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as required
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory, as well as the ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3 phase motor control systems. Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments as well as familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment Ability to work alone efficiently, as well as contribute collaboratively within a team Professional and effective communication skills (verbal and written) Proven ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and problem solve High school diploma or GED equivalent required Good driving record, valid driver's license required Willing and able to travel around the state and out-of-town as required Willing and able to work indoors/outdoors in extreme heat/cold and at heights for extended periods of time Able to successfully complete background check and drug and alcohol screening(s) Possession of a valid driver's license with good driving record Must pass drug-screen and background check Strong communication skills Proven commitment to safety Comfort with working at heights Experience in Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus Crane maintenance experience a plus.
