Alliance, Nebraska Panhandle Rural Electric Membership Association (PREMA) is seeking a qualified Journeyman Line Technician to join its operations team in Alliance, Nebraska. Consideration will also be given to candidates qualified for an Apprentice Lineman position. PREMA serves approximately 7,200 square miles across Nebraska's Panhandle and western Sandhills. Alliance, with a population of approximately 8,000, offers a high quality of life with excellent schools and abundant outdoor recreational opportunities, including hunting and fishing. Position Overview This position is based at PREMA's main office in Alliance and is part of a six-member line crew responsible for maintaining and operating the electrical distribution system across PREMA's service territory. Minimum Qualifications Certificate of Completion or Associate Degree from an accredited Power Linemen School, or equivalent verifiable linework experience Valid Nebraska Commercial Driver's License (CDL), or the ability to obtain one within 45 days of hire Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification Preferred Qualifications Experience with Rural Utilities Service (RUS) construction standards Pre-Employment Requirements Successful completion of a background check Physical examination Drug and alcohol screening Compensation and Benefits PREMA offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits program.
