Job Description

The Village of Edgerton is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as Electrical Lineman . Under the direction of the Electric Superintendent, the Electrical Lineman is responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, repair, and construction of the Village electric distribution system. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installation and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical lines, poles, transformers, meters, street lighting, and related equipment; responding to outages and emergencies; performing line construction and maintenance; operating department equipment; and assisting with electric system improvements and other Village projects. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Ohio driver's license, and the ability to safely perform physically demanding work in a variety of weather conditions. Previous electrical utility, linework, or related experience is preferred. Preferred qualifications include completion of an electrical lineworker apprenticeship or training program, experience with electric distribution systems, and a valid Class A or B CDL. Candidates must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs as needed. $42,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
