Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Hydrovac Swamper/Helper to join our construction team. In this role, you will assist with hydrovac excavation operations, ensuring the safe and efficient digging of underground utilities and other construction tasks. Your energetic approach and attention to safety will contribute to successful project completion while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and operational standards. Responsibilities Assist the hydrovac operator with setup, operation, and maintenance of hydrovac equipment, including water trucks and vacuum trucks Act as a lookout for underground utility lines by utilizing utility locating techniques to prevent damage or accidents Support excavation activities by helping with site preparation, grading, and backfilling as needed Maintain clear communication with team members to ensure safety procedures are followed during all operations Follow all federal construction safety regulations, equipment safety procedures, and site-specific safety protocols Assist in maintaining a clean, organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored after use Qualifications Previous construction site experience or familiarity with utility work is preferred Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving is advantageous but A valid driver's license is still good. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities

Pay:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
