Fiber Optic Lineman Light Industrial Eugene , Oregon temp to hire Apr 23, 2026 Work with a fast-growing local company to help build out their fiber internet network across Lane County. They need someone comfortable with heights who enjoys working outdoors and likes seeing what they have built at the end of the day. The job is running fiber from pole to home, climbing utility poles, installing gear and leaving a clean and professional job site when done.

Pay Rate:

starting at $20/hour DOE, temp-to-hire What you need: Safety minded and comfortable working at heights. Familiar with basic hand tools and able to provide their own - the employer will provide all the specialty tools. Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb, crouch and work outdoors all day. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. History of being punctual, having good work attendance, and mutual team respect Clean background check and drug screen. No experience necessary, will train the right person What you will be doing: Climbing utility poles to run and secure fiber drop cables. Pulling aerial drops from enclosures to homes and small business Working from ladders or bucket trucks around driveways, fences, and roads. Communicating progress with dispatch and filling out paperwork when job is complete. Keeping job sites safe and clean. The position is mostly aerial work but may occasionally include light digging.
