Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Overhead Crane Service Technician to join our industrial maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining overhead cranes and related equipment across manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of crane systems, supporting our commitment to operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on overhead cranes, including bridge cranes, gantry cranes, and jib cranes. Troubleshoot mechanical systems using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics to diagnose issues accurately. Repair and replace components involving hydraulics, electrical wiring (including high voltage and low voltage systems), and mechanical parts using welding ( welding if applicable) techniques. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician experience, and control schematics to troubleshoot automation controls. Conduct field service visits at manufacturing facilities to install new crane systems or upgrade existing equipment while adhering to safety standards. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking service history and scheduling future work. Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide expert advice on crane specifications, upgrades, or modifications tailored to customer needs. Requirements Proven experience in industrial mechanic work within manufacturing facilities or similar environments. Strong electrical experience with knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems; familiarity with industrial electrician practices is preferred. Hands-on experience with hydraulics, welding, schematics reading, and mechanical repair techniques. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), control systems, and automation troubleshooting. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters accurately. Experience working with industrial maintenance equipment like scissor lifts or similar machinery is a plus. Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation for effective field service delivery. Strong communication skills in English; military background or discipline training is advantageous for safety compliance and technical rigor. Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field under safety protocols while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
