Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Field Safety Manager to provide hands-on safety oversight across electric utility construction projects, including overhead distribution, substation, underground residential distribution (URD), and transmission-level work. This role requires genuine field credibility — someone who has "done the work" and can earn the trust of crews through firsthand craft experience, not just safety credentials.

Required Qualifications Must-Have Skills:

Hands-on field experience in utility construction; retired linemen or professionals with direct field craft experience are strongly preferred Comprehensive safety oversight experience spanning overhead distribution, substation, URD, and transmission work Exclusive focus on electric assets (no gas experience required) Proven ability to earn respect and buy-in from field crews through credibility and hands-on knowledge Willingness and comfort with regular regional travel, including trips to New York (National Grid territory) approximately every other week — hesitancy toward New York travel will disqualify candidates Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work alongside crews in demanding field environments without complaint Demonstrated commitment to the role and its travel requirements

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Retired lineman background (highly preferred) Construction manager or general foreman background with strong safety skills Familiarity with utility properties such as PECO, Delmarva, ACE, JCP&L, Met-Ed, PSEG, and National Grid Safety certifications or licensure (a plus, not required) Located in or near the Philadelphia area Experience & Certifications Significant field-based utility experience required; specific years flexible depending on background Certifications are a plus but not strictly required.

INDLV Pay:

$140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
