Job Description
We're seeking a motivated Apprentice Lineworker to join our team and help deliver safe, reliable electric service to our community. Based in our Hickman County office, responsibilities include assisting and learning from experienced lineworkers in construction, replacement, and maintenance of electric distribution lines. Climbing poles, working at heights and performing physical demanding tasks in various weather conditions will be required. Completion of an approved lineworker apprenticeship program paid for by the cooperative will be mandatory. A high school diploma or equivalent required. Experience with basic electricity, heights, and working outdoors desired. The successful candidate must be able to obtain a Class A CDL within six months of hire and must be willing to reside in the Hickman County service area or the MLEC service area and 30 minutes of the Centerville office.
