Job Description
About the Role We're hiring a Transmission Lineman responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing overhead transmission lines. This role involves the safe operation of digger trucks and bucket trucks to construct and maintain electrical systems of de-energized overhead transmission lines. Must be willing to travel and work away from home. What You'll Do Install and maintain wood poles, H-frames, steel poles, lattice towers, and concrete poles Install, operate, maintain, and repair overhead electrical power lines and systems Assist in the construction of transmission and substation facilities Work on various structure types of transmission lines at voltages from 69 kV to 500 kV Uphold OSHA and company/customer safety requirements Mentor ground persons and apprentice line persons What You Bring Must be 18 years of age or older Able to climb wood poles, steel poles, and lattice steel towers without the assistance of a boom or bucket truck Ability to work at heights up to and above 100 feet Able to drive all vehicles assigned to the line crew High school diploma Experience with backhoe, trencher, excavator, skid steer, bulldozer, and other heavy equipment Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background/MVR check Willingness to travel and work away from home Preferred Qualifications NCCCO Certification Application Question(s): Have you completed the following level of education: High School Diploma?
