Installs the following:
high voltage connectors, transformers and switches, securing equipment and cables and various service lines, power poles, open phase systems and insulated systems, meters and metering devices. Mounts hardware. Performs maintenance on switches and other high line equipment. Operates boom trucks, bucket trucks, etc. Operates power-driven machinery such as hydraulic compression pumps, chain saws, etc. Removes broken or defective conductors. Ensures routine preventive maintenance is performed according to established schedules. Performs all other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Maintains a clean and safe working environment, insuring that all tools and material are kept clean, orderly and in good working condition. Performs other duties as assigned. This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Minimum of two years refinery electrical experience, specifically as an Electrical Line Tech required. Experience working on live conductors required. Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics required. Experience troubleshooting aerial feeder problems required.
